Administration Profile

ICHSS administration is tasked with the responsibility of supporting the Continuing Care mission and philosophy and for adherence to the Society’s goals, objectives and policies. Client goals and outcomes are a regular component of staff meetings where the message is delivered on a consistent basis so that staff will perform their assigned tasks with care and diligence. ICHSS administration use every opportunity to promote Continuing Care on a collaborative basis and employ current technology to maintain a high level of contact with their sister agencies to develop strategies for service delivery or to develop solutions to situations that arise from time to time. ICHSS actively participates in learning and information opportunities presented by various parties including the Department of Health and the District Health Authorities.

ICHSS demonstrates its staff has the expertise in the areas of instrumental activities of daily living. There is a written plan outlining the accountability authority and responsibility of management that has been formulated and adopted by the Board of Directors; and, is administered by a competent manager who is delegated with the day-to-day operations of the Society. Management and administrative staff, with demonstrated skill and expertise in the required area of home care service delivery, are competent and efficient in providing the leadership necessary to ensure that all standards are met.

Angela MacEachern Agency Director Appointed as Agency Director in 2008. Angela is a native of Port Hood and resides there with family. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s University, with a Bachelor of Commerce and Certificate of Human Resource Management. She hopes to use her skill set to employ sound business principles in the management of the Agency’s operations.
Carrie Cameron R.N. Supervisor Carrie has been employed by the Agency for over 10 years. She has shared responsibility for management of the nursing component of home care health services that the Agency delivers. This involves the management of care plans and field supervision of our Home Support Workers to insure the quality of care meets the highest standards achievable. Carrie is a member of the Union Management Team and CQI committee. Carrie resides in Port Hood with her family.
Cathy Beaton R.N. Supervisor Employed by the Agency for 6+ years, she has a shared responsibility for supervision of the nursing component of the home care services that the Agency delivers. This includes the management of care plans and the supervision of Home Support workers who deliver approved services to our clients. Cathy is the chair of our OH&S committee. She resides in Mabou with her family.
Marina MacIntyre Accounting Marina joined the Agency in 2012 and bookkeeper/accounting. She is responsible for applying sound financial practices to the Agency’s operations. Marina resides in Port Hood and is an active member of her community.
Imelda Horne Field Supervisor/ Scheduler Originally employed by the Town of Port Hawkesbury, in 1987, Imelda was responsible for managing the delivery of home care services in that community. She was later incorporated into ICHSS when an amalgamation of agencies was directed by the Department of Health. She is responsible for scheduling and supervising Home Support workers who deliver services to clients in the communities of Port Hawkesbury, Whycocomagh, River Deny’s, West Bay, Port Hastings and Troy. Imelda brings to the management team 23+ years of experience in the management of the delivery of Home Support services to the residents of Inverness County. Imelda resides in Port Hawkesbury with her family.
Paulette Chiasson Field Supervisor/ Scheduler Employed by the Agency since 1992, Paulette is responsible for supervising and scheduling home support workers to deliver approved services to clients in the regions of Cheticamp and the Margarees. Paulette is a member of the CQI committee and strives to ensure delivery of high quality client service. Paulette resides in Grand Etang with her family.
Denise Spears Administrative Support Denise worked in the field as a Home Support Worker for several years prior to starting this position as Administrative Support in 2013. Denise is a member of the OH&S, Social and CQI committees. Denise lives in Port Hood with her husband and (5) children.
Lynne Graham Scheduling Coordinator Lynne has been employed with the Agency since 2000 and just recently became a member of the management team. Lynne brings to her position her 10+ years of experience of delivering Home Support Services to our clients. She is responsible for all activities related to staff and clients scheduling. She is also a member of the Union Management Committee. Lynne resides in Mabou with her family.
